WE ARE WALKING ON OUR HEADS

It’s impressive how all the things we are taught as a child, regardless of our faiths, seem to have vanished.

You should not lie, but liars are celebrated.

You shouldn’t steal, but crooks are praised as being smart people.

You should respect your neighbor, but killing is normalized as a daily occurrence, as gun violence and endless wars.

Empathy is a rare commodity.

Moreover, to believe in God as we do in the Abrahamic faiths is now a reason for mockery, while atheism is acclaimed.

The most recent example was the despicable parody of Christianity at the Olympic opening ceremony in Paris when it was time for a peaceful celebration of world unity.

Where is sinking our beautiful world? What are we transmitting to the future generations?

It’s time to take the bull by the horns and stop walking on our heads.

We believers, especially in the Abrahamic faiths, Buddhists, and Hindus, people of goodwill, need to stand firm and patient but determined to recover our values and reverse the situation.

It’s our duty to transmit a better world to new generations.
